Eurex is one of the world’s leading derivatives exchanges offering a broad range of international benchmark products, operating the most liquid fixed income markets in the world and featuring open and low-cost electronic access. Supervision of the operations of Eurex Deutschland shall be the responsibility of the competent highest state authority in the State of Hesse. Supervision of the operations of Eurex Zürich shall be the responsibility of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA.

The Eurex Exchanges shall thus be supervised by the supervisory authorities of both countries, to the extent of their respective jurisdiction. Should the above authorities have to take supervisory measures abroad, such measures shall be implemented by means of administrative or legal cooperation, unless international agreements provide otherwise; insofar as the Exchange Supervisory Authority is concerned, such measures shall be implemented via the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht, BAFin).
