The London Stock Exchange is one of the world’s oldest stock exchanges and can trace its history back more than 300 years. Over the centuries following, London Stock Exchange has consistently led the way in developing a strong, well-regulated stock market and today lies at the heart of the global financial community.

The attractiveness of the Exchange’s markets is maintained by providing an efficient and well regulated market place. As a Recognised Investment Exchange (RIE), the Exchange also has to satisfy the requirements detailed in the Financial Conduct Authority’s RIE and RCH Sourcebook.

All London Stock Exchange member firms are bound by the Rules of the London Stock Exchange and must ensure compliance with these rules.
